I absolutely love the idea of saving money. But, being a crafter, that is not always the easiest thing to do. Every time I log into ETSY or into Pinterest, I am bombarded with a ridiculous amount of new ideas to try out. With every new idea/project that I discover and want to try, I see more and more money flying out of the window.
I have, however, recently discovered up-cycling! And I am in love!! Crafting with, well, basically your trash... I am a bit addicted.
**Just a side note, for those of you who don't know**
Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.
This is one of my first up-cycled projects. I took an empty beer bottle and with a little bit of fabric adhesive and yarn, this bottle looks completely transformed. I have never been a wine kind of girl, but wine bottles would definitely work for this too!
Here are a few other up-cycled projects I have created! So simple and cheap!!
Turn a Pringles can into a vase!! This vase would be best for dried or fake flowers because it is not sealed and would leak if filled with water.
Turn a salsa jar into a candle holder or a vase! Because this is glass, you can use it for many things. If you are using something like this for a candle holder, make sure the wick and flame are no where near the fabric or lace.
